One of my favourite places in New York is Chelsea Market. I love the place for it’s selection of food and also it’s creativity. Much like the Rockefeller Center, Chelsea Market has a completely different buzz to the rest of New York, one which is hard to explain but undoubtedly, a great vibe.
Located in the Meatpacking District, Chelsea Market has plenty of history and character having once been the factory of the National Biscuit Company. With over thirty-five food vendors, Chelsea Market is a dream for food lovers. The establishment also hosts pop-up fashion stores, craft markets and houses some great photography which means there is plenty to see!
These are some of my favourite food picks:
L’arte del Gelato– the Olive Gelato is surprisingly delicious!
Fat Witch Bakery – try their ‘Wicked’ themed brownie
Sarabeth’s – be sure to purchase some of the legendary preserves
The Lobster Place – delicious full lobsters
Los Tacos No. 1 – great for a quick Mexican fix!
I also enjoyed walking around the fashion pop-ups and markets, there are plenty of original pieces to be found.
All that’s really left to say is that I am excited to visit New York again, this time during Thanksgiving! Chelsea Market will be a must.
