This weekend was quite the food adventure!
It began with the list of bakeries featured on my post Bakeries Around the World. One bakery featured was in fact in Sydney and decided it was time to check it out. Nestled in Surry Hills, Bourke Street Bakery houses delicious, handmade baked goods – both sweet and savoury. The bakery is quite small and often queues are out the door.
The bakery house is consumed with the smell freshly baked bread and pastries, it was hard to settle on just a few picks! I decided on the Pork and Fennel Roll and then for something sweet, the Ginger Creme Brûlée and Rhubarb Almond Tart.
What I love about the Surry Hills bakery is the fact that it is small and cozy. The bread and pastries are honest works of good, quality food. Bourke Street Bakery have multiple locations around Sydney, to find a location near you, be sure to check out the website!
