The Pie Tin, Sydney

Pie lovers rejoice! There is a deliciously amazing pie place in Newtown that satisfies pie cravings. The Pie Tin is nestled in a side street off King St and makes for the perfect place to relax and indulge in some serious pie. Offering handmade, fresh quality pies with savoury and sweet selections, it would almost be a crime to visit without an appetite.

There are so many great flavours in the savoury selection and you have the option of sides. The full menu can be found on online however, the flavours available each day vary. My cousin and I devoured a pie each but couldn’t finish the massive portions of sides. On another note, the Kumera (sweet potato) chips are TO-DIE-FOR, a must-have addition.

So what did we order?
Slow roasted beef brisket, hickory smoke & mushrooms
Creamy chicken with hot seeded mustard & mushrooms
Sides: Homestyle potato mash, classic mushy peas, coleslaw, potato salad and Kumera chips.

Yep, we went a bit over-board but it was so incredibly delicious. We ended up taking what was left home.

Now onto the final stage of our food coma, the dessert corner. The sweet pies on display were next level, if I could eat pie all day I don’t think I’d ever leave the place. We eventually decided on the creamy coconut custard pie which was amazing.
