Paella in Barcelona

While in Barcelona, my friend and I had the pleasure of dining at a lovely restaurant not far from our hotel. We simply wandered through the streets and came across Samoa. The traditional exterior, large menu boards out front and lively music were very appealing.

Being a real foodie, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try traditional Seafood Paella. The restaurant offers servings based on a minimum of two people, after being presented the paella, we knew why. The serving platter was massive! It looked absolutely divine and you could smell all the delicious flavours and seafood. I have tried variations of paella before but none compare to the one I tried here. It was extraordinary. We also ordered Mojitos in celebration of our travels – easily the best cocktail I have ever tasted. If you happen to stumble upon Passeig de Gracia, be sure to spare a meal at Samoa.
