Back in 2010, I travelled to the Philippines with my family. During our travels, we visited the beautiful island and popular tourist destination known as Boracay. We were fortunate to stay at Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa, a magnificent secluded paradise.

The hotel entrance is simply stunning, laced with water features and a view directly out to the crystal blue ocean. Considered as one of the premier Boracay beach resorts, Shangri-La consists of 219 luxurious rooms, suites and villas. Our rooms were very spacious and had balconies which overlooked a garden landscape. Upon our arrival, we enjoyed tropical fruit platters which waited in our rooms.

We spent majority of our stay by the resort’s infinity pool which flowed onto picturesque views of the private beach. Swimming in both the pool and the ocean, we took full advantage of the resort’s striking beauty.

The breakfast buffet is one of the largest I have come across, there is a huge hot breakfast selection including gourmet international cuisines. Also on offer are a variety of continental alternatives and tempting pastries and sweets. Breakfast is served in restaurant Vintana, a dining experience so special with sweeping views of the ocean.

Being located among exquisite natural scenery, the resort offers guests a variety of activities for both adults and children. Also on site is CHI, The Spa, the perfect place to unwind and be pampered. Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort and Spa is one enchanting resort and its tranquillity is to be experienced.
