Back in August last year, my best friend and I stayed a couple of days on the Gold Coast. It had been a while since I had time to relax and simply chill out, QT Gold Coast was an ideal choice.
Walking distance from Surfers Paradise, the hotel is a quirky and eclectic work of art with bold and vibrant décor. Rooms are incredibly spacious and offer either an ocean or mountain river view. My friend and I were lucky enough to have a room on a higher floor overlooking the ocean, the view was stunning and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. Guests are treated with a stylish complimentary, make-your-own lemonade kit which is placed in your room for your arrival – a perfect start to your QT experience.
We took advantage of the hotel’s dining options having started with a small lunch at Stingray Lounge. For dinner, we dined at Bazaar, an all-you-can-eat, interactive marketplace. I will say is this – everyone needs to eat here! It’s one smorgasbord of a treat and a unique, one-of-a-kind dining experience. Make sure you go with an empty stomach! My friend and I were seriously rolling back to our room.
In the morning we hired out a couple of cute retro QT Bikes, available for complimentary use to hotel guests. We spent an hour or so enjoying a ride down to Surfers Paradise and along the beach side, it was a beautiful start to the day. Bazaar is the place to go for breakfast and the experience is just as fabulous as dinner. My favourite touch was the bottled freshly squeezed juice and smoothie selection, I wanted to take a couple of bottles for later!
QT Gold Coast is a fantastic alternative for those travelling to Surfers Paradise, it is fresh take on accommodation.
